Simple Photo Frames

I have a simple frame to share with you today that can also double as a little note holder too.

{1} Cut the wood - it can be from any scraps you may have laying around...the size you use depends on what size frame you were looking to create. I use a 1 X 4.

{2} Sand the edges and distress a bit if you'd like.

{3} Gather a piece of dowel rod and drill a hole the same diameter as the dowel, approximately one in from the bottom - centered.

{4} Glue the dowel into place using just a bit of wood glue.

{5} Paint the wood. I decided to add a little design to each frame so I gave the wood a coat of white.

Using my Silhouette, I cut a vinyl design to adhere to the wood.

I added another coat of paint over the vinyl stencil.

Once dry I removed the vinyl and sanded just a bit.

{6} Add twine by stapling the end to the back of the wood and tightly wrapping around the block a few times - Secure with another staple to hold into place.
